“ Crispy corndogs stuffed with stretchy mozzarella/sausage and rolled in sugar. If that sentence isn't enough to get you to try this place, read on further. Cluckin Dog is a new food spot here in Eugene that brings the delicious taste of Korean junk food to town. I visited during the soft open in December 2023 so they didn't have any sandwiches, but I got to try the Korean corndogs and Korean fried chicken. Both were amazing. The corndogs are stuffed with mozzarella and/or hotdog and perfectly breaded, it was as good as any I tried in Portland or the larger cities of Southern California. There are some interesting options, but I went with the OG Korean corndog. It may sound unusual to be rolled in sugar, but there are some other options on the menu without sugar if that sounds too sweet. The fried chicken is juicy and tender. We ordered it with the garlic sauce which was pretty good. It's a very savory sauce as advertised, and didn't overwhelm the flavor of the chicken. Staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, and were helpful in explaining some menu options. It'll be interesting to see how this place changes as it grows, but as it is now I highly recommend Cluckin Dog for a very high quality (and affordable) taste of classic Korean Street food. ”
“ We built our own corn dog, all beef, panko, hot Cheetos dusting with mustard and ketchup. The texture was amazing, I loved the crunch the panko added and the Cheeto dust was great. Definitely going to come back to try other things on the menu. It smelled like propane and was a bit chilly inside so we got it to go but the food was great. ”
“ Visited Cluckin Dog to do some research for our East Asian food class. We had a great convo with the owner, she is really friendly and gladly shared a bit about the background of the shop. Food was top tier, definitely beats some of the other chicken spots in the area. I got the OG korn dog which had a coating of sugar and a really nice cheese pull. Also got some wings, they were very very tasty and had a great sauce on them. Highly recommend ”
“ This place has the absolute best korean corn dogs I’ve ever had in my life. I got the Angry Dog, the Bumpy Dog, the Pukka Dog, and the sticks and rings. Insanely good. The HOT CHEETO DUST ACTUALLY TASTES LIKE HOT CHEETOS, if you’ve had other korean corn dogs you know what I’m talking about. This isn’t bulk dust here, this is actual hot cheetos ground into dust. The cheese pull was ABSOLUTELY INSANE. Fantastic. The Bumpy Dog was crispy on the outside, juicy ass dog on the insane and incredibly flavorful. The Pukka Dog was fire!!!! The pineapple was grilled and the garlic aioli was spectactular! This place kicks ass!!!! The service was great as well! They were all very warm and welcoming, they didn’t judge me when I couldn’t pronounce Pukka lol they had my food ready to rip when it was decently busy in less than 15 minutes. GREAT EXPERIENCE. ”
“ Every time I come here they are so nice and always seem happy. In my opinion they have the best Korean corn dog out of every other place I’ve tried. The wings are also really good and their sauce is home made and authentic. They have this desert there that is amazing as well. Great quality, quantity and service! ”
“ Very cool little place. It's easy to miss if ur not looking but definitely a gem. I got the OG no mustard. I love mustard, but I thought it would overpower the cheese and breading. The flavor of the cheese was very, very good. Crunchy, hot, and made to order. Lovely experience, got to eat and watch chicken little. ”
“ We tried all of the corn dogs. Potato crusted one was by far mine and besties fav. I didn't care for the Ramen noodle crusted one, but that's a personal preference. A lot of people like uncooked Ramen. The only reason there's a 4 for atmosphere is because I went on a hot day. The little place was scorching. We had a picnic instead of eating there. Which was awesome too. I'm definitely going back. ”
“ Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the atmosphere and staff (family owned) made the experience even better. They were so hospital and made me feel so welcome. All the items on the menu are thought out and ypu can't go wrong with any of them. My favorite is the OG dog. Just come try it for yourself!!!! ”
